Adam Stafford page 1 listing in Google
Written by Adam StaffordI am Adam Stafford, I set up Fresh Egg with Lee and Pip Stafford (my sister). I mainly get involved with new business at Fresh Egg and one thing I am encouraging clients to purchase as an addition to their website is the latest hot potato ‘Blogging Software’. I have been recommending a website blog as a vehicle to add relevant content to a website to enhance a broad range of search listings within major search engines that include Google (Google UK accounting for as much as 78% of search in the UK).
I am using this blog post as a test to see how effective blogging is. I don’t currently appear on the first page of Google UK for the search term ‘Adam Stafford’. I want to see how long it will take by using this blog post and the strength of the Fresh Egg website to obtain a first page listing for Adam Stafford…
If anyone should come across this blog looking for Adam Stafford of Worthing, West Sussex, UK you can contact me through contacting Fresh Egg or emailing me at adam ‘at’ freshegg.com
I am estimating that i will be on page one within 1 week.
I would also be interested in contacting any other Adam Stafford’s out there, if you have come across this blog because your name is Adam Stafford please leave a comment. Let’s see how many Adam Stafford’s we can meet :)

It only took two days, this page was listed at #7 for ‘Adam Stafford’ when I checked on the 17th.
Awesome, on page one already of Google UK :)
Right, let’s see how high we can get Adam Stafford on page one. It will be handy for people who need to contact me but more importantly I want to get in contact with more people out there called Adam Stafford!!
The date is now the 20th Dec - the position has moved to 13. I am going to follow the trend of this listing to see when we can get back on page one for Adam Stafford.
I am seeing you at #6 now, you are creeping up like Ivy on an Old English house!
Well - I am still at position 6 and I still haven’t made contact with another Adam Stafford! I think I might have to use my secret weapon - http://www.adamstafford.com might have to go online :) I really shouldn’t be moaning, I have acheived this listing just through the blog article with no link building or any other work that could assist with the listing…
Pip Stafford is at number 1 through this blog :)
I haven’t looked at this for a while but I am now appearing at number 3 in Google UK and still no other Adam Stafford’s have made contact :( There must be another Adam Stafford out there that wants to speak to me?!?!
There must be another Adam Stafford out there who has read this blog post - don’t be shy - say hello! :)
They probably all hate you for having a high ranking for their name.
Ammon is correct. We all hate you! I’m on the 4th page.
Hello, my name is Adam Stafford and by bizzare coincidence I have spoken to Adam Stafford of Fresh Egg before when I tried to flog him a Yell.com listing.
I think I recall that we also share the middle name ‘Paul’
I also hate that I have to be adampstafford@XXX.co.uk instead of just adamstafford
Anyway - Hello.
:) Awesome :)
What would be even better - let’s see if I can find another Adam Stafford that shares the same birthday as me - 22nd November!
That is so funny. I remember thinking just earlier this week on building a network of Adam Stafford’s out their for link reciprocation. And here it is. Did the actor sign in here yet?
I wrote for GotZune.com so that may come up as AdamEntity but it’s still me Adam Stafford.
Hello everyone…
Perhaps we can arrange a yearly lunch in London for all Adam Stafford’s!
Who is up for meeting up in December 2008 for a drink and lunch on London then? :)
Adam Stafford
Right - to all Adam Stafford’s - I have a collection of us who are going to go out for beers in Dec 08 - email me on adam at freshegg.com if you are interested in joining us. Does anyone know the actor to get him on board as well :)
I’m surprised you don’t have (well, use) Twitter!
Having a Twitter page isn’t just social networking. It’s an invaluable source of traffic and even page weight/ranking. I have 250 followers and a few thousand updates, which essentially means outgoing PageRank 4 links whenever I need! Google my name.
I’ve also gained a few thousand from meeting new clients via Twitter but that’s a whole other ball game. It takes a long time and a lot of hard work, but you start seeing benefits after 250+ followers. My secret tip is to use impeccable grammar and full stops to gain the most followers in the shortest time. That and fill in and decorate your profile in the most clean (but not ‘default’), open way possible.
Another thing I used to use is freshegg.com/people/adamstafford to give everyone their own profiles, everyone rises up with ease beyond that, and gets what is effectively an online business card out of it. You could even try hooking up a CNAME like adam.freshegg.com and point it to “soup.io” or some other API aggregator. I did this with lawrence.gridfusions.com, though I have yet to allow Google access.
And yes, I do evangelize Twitter to everyone I meet. :)
PS. Good luck with the Adam Stafford meet-up, Adam. I love the name Stafford too - you don’t have to compete with job (Job) sites around the town Lawrence.
I would hate to be #1 in Google by name. Above the great author of Robin Hood.
Unfortunately this situation will change - as I am bored, had my fair shair of promoting other people’s websites and business - and thought of promote my own for a bit.
Anyway,
Thanks very much for the “DoFollow” - I wasn’t expecting that.
Perhaps to get more traffic you should use that to your advantage (if you haven’t already)
Get listed on DoFollow Blog Directories. It should increase traffic. The downside it will present you with a bigger backlog of post moderation.
Hope the tip is useful.
Wishing you a good Xmas and good Business for 2009
