Software giant Adobe has helped both Google and Yahoo reveal previously hidden content from flash files to the search engines. As we know search engine already do index static text within flash file formats.
This technology will enable millions of pre-existing RIAs using flash technology will be search-able without any additional optimisation . Google has by all accounts added the optimized flash player to its search technology while its rival Yahoo plans to do so shortly.
Web developers and designers alike have always been frustrated with the restrictions search engines had with content within flash files not being seen, the question is will this new flux of content provide a better experience for searchers

I guess it can only be a good thing but how will the search engines change their algorithms to cater for flash driven content as well as well coded html sites?
Personally I much prefer html content to flash content and the fact that flash isn’t SEO plays a huge part in this. What will the future hold…?

It would be really great if the search engines start reading flash, since flash makes the website very attractive and all these days people had to avoid it just for the sake of SEs. But now if the search engines read it, there would be no such constraints.

It’s about time, still wouldn’t rely on it for quite a while.
